Arianna Huffington – Political Maven
Arianna Huffington, is the editor of the successful political commentary website, the Huffington Post. I still remember her as the wife of Michael Huffington, a very wealthy California politician whom she divorced in 1997 and received a ton of money from. Some think that his wife’s link to the cult figure John-Rogers (pictured above) contributed to the divorce.
In addition to being Arianna’s life guru, John Rogers heads the church/cult called Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness. The LA Times did a series of reports on cults in the 80’s and 90’s and exposed MSIA as a cult. Arianna is still an ordained “Minister Of Light” for MSIA.
Before becoming involved with Rogers, Huffington was a disciple of the Indian guru Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, whose cult practiced open sexual intercourse among its members, and with its leader, as a central sacrament of their faith. You might remember the group tried to take over their Oregon town by putting lethal Salmonella bacteria in restaurants around the town on election day.
In 2000, George Soros gave Arianna money to organize ‘Shadow Conventions’. In an attempt to undermine the national party conventions, Huffington would hold these “mock conventions” at the same time and in the same cities as the Republican and Democratic conventions in Philadelphia and Los Angeles. Who knew it would be a precursor of things to come.
I guess the roll-playing at her conventions led Arianna to believe she was qualified to be a politician. She ran for Governor of California in 2003 – along with Gary Coleman, Larry Flint and 193 others. If she doesn’t run again in 2010, maybe she’ll give her vote to former boyfriend Jerry Brown.
