August Moon


The Full Sturgeon Moon
According to native American folk lore, August is the month when this large fish of the Great Lakes and other major bodies of water like Lake Champlain is most readily caught.

I don’t know about the sturgeon, but at 2:00AM this morning a coyote parked himself on the other side of the fence and decided to howl at the moon. Did he even try to catch one of the hundreds of rabbits running around? Nope. Just kept howling. He didn’t stop until I opened the window and told him to shut up!
