PARIS — How does a thief steal five famous masterpieces from the Musée d’Art Moderne in Paris? Apparently, quite easily.

A series of security blunders that include a multi-million dollar alarm system which had been broken for three months, ‘dozing’ guards, and outdoor CCTV cameras which only covered the roof.

The museum had been closed in 2004 for two years for a $19 million safety and security upgrade.
