The Second Full Moon of August
This year we will have 13 full moons instead of 12. The extra moonrise will happen tonight. For those who live in the far eastern time zone – like Russia and New Zealand, you’ll have 2 full moons in September.

Tonight we all have a reason to look up in the sky. The first man to step onto the moon, Neil Armstrong died last week and his family has made a simple request:

“Honor his example of service, accomplishment and modesty, and the next time you walk outside on a clear night and see the moon smiling down at you, think of Neil Armstrong and give him a wink.”
